---- — CLINTON — A Clinton woman received a suspended sentence for stabbing her live-in boyfriend with a pair of scissors.

Mischelle C. Lampe, 22, on Thursday pleaded guilty to domestic assault while displaying a weapon, and was subsequently sentenced to two years in a state correctional facility.

The sentence was suspended, but Lampe was ordered to two years of supervised probation. She also will be required to complete a substance abuse evaluation and attend batterer’s education program.

Lampe was arrested on Sept. 10 after police were called to 547 Sixth Ave. South for a report of a stabbing.

When police arrived, they found a 25-year-old man who had been stabbed four times in the back.

The victim said he and Lampe were arguing when he went to get his shoes from the bedroom.

Lampe then stabbed him in the back with scissors. The victim pushed her on the bed and knocked the scissors out of her hand, according to the affidavit.

Police found Lampe in the bedroom with a cut on her hand that she said was from punching a mirror out of frustration. According to the court documents, police found a broken mirror, broken lamp and broken window.

They also found bloody scissors behind a TV stand.

Lampe will be prohibited from contacting her victim for six months.
