---- — CLINTON — The Clinton Regional Development Corp. has announced that Jenelle Kreiling has joined the organization’s staff as its economic development specialist.
Kreiling will work closely with local and state governments and the private and not-for-profit sectors, identifying opportunities for business growth throughout the bi-state Clinton region.
“We’re thrilled to have someone of Jenelle’s caliber join our team. She will immediately contribute to our new strategic direction and will play a vital role in client relations,” said Mike Kirchhoff, the CRDC’s chief executive officer.
Prior to taking on her new responsibilities at the CRDC, Kreiling was the research and technology coordinator at the Quad-Cities Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
Founded in 1953, the CRDC serves a bi-state region centered on Clinton, which is located at the intersection of the Union Pacific Railroad east-west mainline and U.S. Highway 30 on the upper Mississippi River. The Clinton region is Iowa’s closest point to Chicago, approximately 120 miles away. The CRDC is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
