UPDATED: Escapee caught; 1 still at large

CLINTON —

CLINTON - Law enforcement officials captured one man who escaped Clinton County jail late Saturday night, but one man still remains at large.

Kendrell Keith, 18, was captured by Clinton County Sheriff's duputies at 11:49 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Camanche Avenue.

He is being held in the Clinton County jail on a warrant for escape from custody. Keith is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond. He will appear in court this morning.

Two males escaped from the Clinton County jail Saturday.

Keith, 18, and Kyle Charles Julian, 18, escaped at 4:40 p.m. Saturday from the Clinton County jail. Clinton Police officers and deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff's office were conducting a search in an area north of the jail based on citizens' reports seeing two men running that direction located in the 200 block of Seventh Avenue North shortly after the escape.

Some orange-colored clothing was found in the area.

Keith was being held on second-degree theft charges, a class D felony.

Julian is a dark-skinned male, 5-feet-9-inches tall, 175 pounds, with green eyes. He's being held for probation violation, a class D felony. He still remains at large.

Individuals also may call Crime Stoppers at 242-6595 or (888) 883-8015. A cash reward of up to $1,000 may be given for information leading an arrest and capture.
