CLINTON — A public meeting to discuss the closure of a Clinton County road in Wheatland will be Dec. 9.
The County Board of Supervisors and Engineer Todd Kinney talked last week about vacating 122nd Avenue and closing a railroad crossing at the request of Union Pacific Railroad. The road is is 900 feet long and connects U.S. 30 with 235th St., old U.S. 30.
During that meeting, the board agreed to schedule a public meeting in Wheatland to discuss the issue with property owners and representatives from the Calamus-Wheatland School District. The meeting was tentatively scheduled for Dec. 2. Since then, the meeting has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 9.
