Clinton calendar parking starts this week

CLINTON — Calendar parking in Clinton started Monday, and will end March 15.

Parking restrictions go into effect daily between midnight and 8 a.m. People must park their vehicles on the even-numbered side of the street on even calendar dates, and on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd calendar dates.

On streets where parking is normally permitted on only one side of the street, vehicles may be parked on that side every night of the week. The parking restrictions do not apply to residential handicapped spaces.

During snow emergencies, calendar parking will be in effect, except on streets designated as snow routes. No parking will be permitted on snow routes until a snow emergency is no longer in effect.

Police began issuing warning tickets this week to vehicles parked illegally. They will begin issuing regular $15 parking tickets next week for parking violations.
