---- — CLINTON — Clinton Police are investigating the death of a dog that was found in a kennel outside a home at 611 Seventh Ave. South.
According to Clinton Police Capt. James Klaes, Clinton police got a call at 10:30 a.m. Thursday regarding the dead dog.
A street officer, public service officer and the animal control officer were dispatched to the home, where they located a dog that is believed to be a Boxer in a kennel outside the home, Klaes said.
The dog’s body was transported to the police department. Klaes said police are investigating how and why the dog died and who its owner was. The investigation will determine if police will press charges and who will face them.
