CLINTON — Four seats will be decided at this fall’s Clinton School Board election, and school district leaders say now is the time for potential candidates to start thinking about a run for office.
Nomination papers to become a candidate will be available in the district’s business office beginning July 8 and must be submitted by Aug. 1. The school board election is set for Sept. 10.
Candidates will be running for the seats currently filled by Gregg Obren, Missey Sullivan-Pope, Jack Wenzel and Mercia Wolf.
Of those four, Wolf declared Monday night that she will not be seeking re-election. Wenzel said he probably will run, while Obren has not yet decided. Sullivan-Pope was not at the meeting due to a death in the family, Superintendent Deb Olson said.
The seven-member board also includes Devin Guillory, Jim McGraw and Jenny Green.
