Unity volleyball, soccer players honored

FULTON, Ill. — Coming off a pair of successful seasons by their respective teams, four volleyball players and four soccer players from Fulton Unity Christian High School have earned all-conference honors from the the Northern Illinois Christian Conference.

Junior Rebecca Meinema, who helped the Knights to a second-place finish in volleyball, was named the Player of the Year in the conference. She was joined on the first team by sophomore Hannah Dykstra and junior Callie Willoughby. Junior Heather Hintz received honorable mention accolades.

The Knights also claimed second place in soccer.

First-team soccer honors went to senior Ryan Medenblik, the team’s leading scorer, and junior Eli Skipper. Senior Kyle Davis and junior Josh Warren received second-team honors.
