How did you get the nickname Buddy?

My sister couldn’t say brother. She would say butter so they shortened it and made it Buddy.

How did you become a crossing guard?

I retired and came back to Clinton. I got bored with sitting around so about 2 1/2 years later I went up and got hired.

What’s your favorite thing about it?

Kids. I love them. They always have a smile. They always have something nice to say and it makes you feel good.

What did you do before you retired?

I worked for a company called Service Master Limited, which is a company that goes into different schools and business and takes over their employees and manages them.

What made you come back to Clinton after you retired?

It was home. My wife’s from Miles so we decided it was time to come back.
