CLINTON — YWCA Clinton has recently added an InBody body Composition Analysis machine to its menu of services.
InBody machines are an industry leader in providing the most accurate body composition data. Far less intrusive and more accurate than other common methods, the non-invasive and pain-free InBody machines send safe, low-level currents through the body. The multiple frequencies used gather independent measurements for five segments of the body to provide accurate measurements for the entire body.
“We are really excited to be able to offer this incredible health tool to the community,” said YWCA Health & Wellness Director Stephanie Sommers. “The InBody test gives you so much more information than just your weight, body fat and total water content. It provides you with information on your lean muscle mass broken down by body part, inter- and extra-cellular water content, skeletal muscle mass, as well as BMI and fat percentage. You can track information on inflammation and swelling and see how your body is changing over time. And while initial sessions will take 15 to 30 minutes to include time for analysis and questions, the test itself takes only 15 seconds. It’s no harder than standing on a scale. It really is amazing.”
YWCA Clinton will begin offering InBody testing as part of their “Show Your Heart Some Love” February event in celebration of National Heart Month. The YWCA facility will be free and open to the public on Wednesday, Feb. 14, and new members joining Feb. 12 to 14 will receive a free InBody test.
Those interested in scheduling an InBody assessment should call YWCA Clinton at 242-2110.
