The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre will once again offer a musical theater summer camp.
Camp Once Upon A Time begins July 2 and concludes with performances on the Showboat stage on July 13 and 14.
Classes are available for students who are entering grades one through eight next fall.
Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays through Fridays, excluding the 4th of July.
As in previous summer camps at the Showboat, students will work directly with professional actors, designers and staff, producing a show of their own to be performed on the Showboat stage.
Final performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, and at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, July 14.
Camp Once Upon a Time offers the opportunity for children to learn about theater while meeting new people.
Cost for the two-week program is $75.
Registration information is available at www.clintonshowboat.org, or leave a message at 242-6760.
CAST’s 2012 professional summer season will include “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Into the Woods,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “Love Letters,” and “Hate Mail.”
Tickets are available at Co-Op Records and Clinton Printing in Clinton, and at Sweet Woodruff in Fulton, Ill., as well as online.
