The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center will be a project site for Global Care Day with LyondellBasell.
Jaci Moore, a senior environmental engineer with Equistar Chemicals, is leading the endeavor. Equistar, located at 3400 Anamosa Road in Clinton, participates in this annual day of global volunteerism. The center will change its hours of operation April 14, due to project work.
Moore works for LyondellBasell in Clinton. Every year, volunteers throughout the company go into their communities and give back.
“It is our way of saying thank you,” Moore said. “Last year, we had over 3,100 volunteers in 59 countries unite in April to make a difference on our company’s Global Care Day. This year, our Global Care Day will be Saturday, April 14, and it is fast approaching. I’m leading the team to coordinate the event and we will volunteer on a Discovery Center project.”
For more information about the project, contact Moore at 244-2570 or email her at Jaci.Moore@lyondellbasell.com.
LyondellBasell volunteers will paint trim on the building exterior, parking lot lines, some indoor painting as well as adding mulch to landscaping.
Due to the project, the center will be closed during the morning of April 14 and will open at noon on Saturday.
