CLINTON — Global Care Day will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at LyondellBasell. This is a worldwide community service initiative involving thousands of employee volunteers participating in projects in more than 50 communities in 14 countries where LyondellBasell has operations.

Locally, employee volunteers and family members from LyondellBasell’s Clinton plant will be tackling three different projects as part of the company’s 10th annual Global Care Day. One team will give the Clinton YWCA Children’s Day Care area a makeover by repainting five rooms. A second team will be doing some painting and general site improvement at the Lake Malone Recreation Area operated by the Clinton County Conservation Board. The third team will be cleaning roadside areas along U.S. 30 just west of Clinton.

This is the 10th year that LyondellBasell volunteers have contributed to their communities through Global Care Day.

This day promotes employee involvement in community service, to provide our work force with an opportunity to take part in meaningful community service projects and to make a difference in communities around the globe.
