An opening date has been set for Clinton’s Hampton Inn. The 76-room hotel, located near the intersection of Mill Creek Parkway and U.S. 30, will open March 29.
General Manager Melody Van Drew confirmed the opening date, and said that a grand opening celebration is planned for some time in June.
She said everything was “right on schedule,” with the hotel, which will feature an indoor pool, jacuzzi and fitness center.
Burlington-based developer Hawkeye Hotels owns the Hampton Inn. Executive vice president Ravi Patel said in September that the Clinton hotel will be more contemporary than what residents are used to locally.
“It will be unlike any hotel (Clinton residents) currently have,” Patel said. “Our guests really seem to enjoy themselves.”
A variety of room types will be available to customers.
Patel said there will be a good mix of double beds and king beds, and that a few suites will be spread throughout the hotel.
Patel said that Hawkeye Hotels has developed a reputation for having strong guest service and a well-trained staff.
The hotel will also have conference rooms and a stocked snack area, though it is not considered a full-service hotel.
Patel estimated that 20 or more employees will be needed to run the hotel.
