BELLEVUE — The 10th annual “Celebrate the Magic of Children and Family!” benefit dinner, raffle and auctions will be April 17 and 18 at Horizon Hall in Bellevue.

The event kicks off from 6 to 8 p.m. April 17 at Horizon Hall. Everyone is invited to preview live auction items, bid on the silent auction, purchase advance dinner tickets and have the opportunity to buy tickets for the 50/50 cash raffle.

On April 18, a buffet dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The menu features a 12-ounce butterfly pork chop and a 10-ounce Iowa ribeye steak. Tickets are $13 per person in advance and $15 at the door. Annually, these tickets sell out and 550 dinner tickets are available. After the meal, honorary co-chairs will be recognized. These are people who volunteer their time and are beneficial to supporting the parishes of Marquette Catholic School. The live auction begins at 7:30 p.m. and some of the items being auctioned include: Preschool- through eighth-grade art pieces created by each class; a large Isabel Bloom sculpture, “Reach for the Stars;” the Nate Kaeding “Drive-Putt-Kick” golf tournament for four at Brown Deer Golf Club; skybox tickets for six at OSU for the Iowa vs. Ohio State University football game, which includes a round-trip flight from Dubuque to Columbus, Ohio, limo ride to the stadium and tailgating with the Bud bus. Many other items also will be on hand. The “50/50” cash raffle follows where one lucky person will be the winner of half of the proceeds raised. Raffle tickets are being sold for $25 each or five for $100.

The goal for this year’s event is $68,000. Funds raised have supported academics, helped meet the basic costs of operation, keep tuition low and contribute to improvements of the facilities.
