Interested in learning more about what the Blue Zone designation would mean for the Clinton area?  Mercy Medical Center invites you to attend a wellness Lunch and Learn to hear more about the initiative and what it could mean for our community.

The Lunch and Learn, “Clinton Blue Zones Community,” will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday in Conference Room A at Mercy’s North Campus. The presentation will be given by Mercy Wellness Coordinator Andrea Barnett, Clinton Hy-Vee Registered Dietitian Beth Freehill, and Lori Freudenberg, Executive Director of the YWCA in Clinton. The team will discuss the current county health rankings, the Healthy State initiative, Blue Zone partnership and the Power 9. The Lunch and Learn is a 30-minute presentation and is offered free of charge. Participants may bring a sack lunch or purchase their lunch from the Mercy Cafeteria prior to the start of the session. Mercy associates are also encouraged to participate through Mercy’s Wellness program.

“We are offering this session as a way to help people understand what Blue Zones are and how this will help our community,” said Barnett. “We encourage anyone to come to learn more and find out how to get involved.”

Reservations are suggested by contacting (563) 244-3539.
