Community Care, Inc. (CCI) and the David Hartmann Foundation recently appointmented new members to the boards of directors.
David M. Pillers, of Pillers and Richmond law offices in DeWitt, was elected to serve on the CCI board of directors. Pillars brings experience in business law, labor and employment, real estate and estate planning and involvement in DeWitt area foundations and civic organizations, including trustee for the Central Community Education Foundation and former director of the DeWitt Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lisa Walker was appointed to serve on the David Hartmann Foundation board at the quarterly meeting on May 25. Walker has been a high school special education teacher for 17 years, serving in that capacity in DeWitt schools for the past five years. She is a Central Special Olympics coach and an active member of the Up With Families organization that seeks to help and support parents and siblings of children with special needs.
“I am very honored to have been asked to serve and hope to make a difference in whatever way that I can,” Walker said.
