CLINTON — Own a vintage vehicle or like to look at them?

The third annual Riverboat Days Car Show, sponsored by Mike’s Transmission, will take place July 4 on Riverview Drive as part of Riverboat Days 2006.

The show is open to anyone who wants to show off a vehicle. Last year there were 70 vehicles shown; organizer Mike Wiersema hopes that number hits 100 this year.

The show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Vehicles are to enter the dike via Fifth Avenue South, Wiersema said. Those showing can enter for free and they also will receive free entry into Riverboat Days for themselves and a passenger who is with them.

Any type or age of vehicle can be brought for show.

There will be trophies. Cash prizes will be given for best of show, best paint and best engine. Winners will be determined by participant balloting.
