The Clinton County Historical Society will remember fallen soldiers in an exhibit opening this weekend.

Remembering the Fallen is a photographic exhibit that will be open to the public Saturday at St. Irenaeus Cultural Center and will run until Sunday, Aug. 19. The exhibit tells the story of 79 of the Iowa men and women who have died in the last 10 years during the war on terror.

Opening ceremonies will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the cultural center. Closing ceremonies will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.

Tom Buelow will give the keynote address during the opening ceremonies.

The St. Irenaeus Cultural Center will be open to view the exhibit from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and from noon to 8 p.m. each weekday.

Taps will be played by Bill Hall every evening at closing and there will be a 21-gun salute during the closing ceremony.
