The Fall Family History Lock In dates have been set for Clinton Public Library Root Cellar.
Sept. 9, Oct. 14 and Nov. 4 are the Friday evenings, with the lock ins scheduled from 5 to 11 p.m.
Participants need to stop down to the Root Cellar and prepay $10 for their spot to be held.
The work nights are held after library hours in the Root Cellar, the genealogy /local history area of the library. Ancestry Library database is funded from proceeds of these events. The database costs almost $1,000 per year.
The patrons participating bring a dish/treat to share and their own beverage.
Help is available for those just beginning or who may have hit the brick wall. This will be the first time many will have the chance to use the new Patricia Gaar Collection. Patricia donated a large amount of materials through the Clinton County Gateway Genealogical Society. She had acquired an extensive library of French Canadian materials but also has a vast quarterlies collection, German, English and Jewish information.
