The City of Clinton has declared a Snow Emergency to be in effect from 6 p.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service lifted the winter weather advisory Friday morning after slushy snow fell overnight.

Visibility was expected to continue to be limited to about a half-mile in areas where snow continued to fall during Friday's morning commute. 

The NWS issued a winter weather advisory for more than a dozen Iowa and Illinois counties including the Quad Cities and surrounding areas.
