CLINTON — An annual fund-raising event and a free Pops Concert on the riverfront are set back-to-back for June 6 and 7 by the Clinton Symphony Orchestra.

The Symphony is finishing its 55th season, and the events provide a bridge to the 56th year.

The fund-raiser, “A Symphonic Affair,” has become a highlight of the Symphony’s social events, and will begin at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 6, at the Clinton Country Club. It features an appetizer buffet, entertainment, and many donated items for silent and live auction.

The free Sunday pops concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at band music shell in Riverview Park. The event is in appreciation of the Symphony’s many supporters, and an opportunity for those who have not been to the concert halls to hear the Symphony. The orchestra, led by conductor Brian Dollinger.

Listeners are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket for the seating area, and perhaps snacks or a picnic. The program and the setting is suitable for the entire family.
