Bicycle bridge, condo issues on Fulton council agenda

FULTON, Ill. — The Fulton City Council is set to meet tonight, and will hear about an action item to approve funding for construction of a bicycle bridge and a consent agenda item to direct City Administrator Randy Boonstra to talk with JBR Development regarding water issues at its condo development.

The Fulton City Council agenda, under business items, includes a request to approve funding from Fund 36, parks, for construction of a $25,000 bicycle bridge on Fourth Street and $10,000 for paving of a bicycle trail along Fourth Street between 18th and 19th avenues. The agenda under business also includes a motion to pass an amendment to Section 50.04 of Chapter 50 relating to water and sewer hook-up fees and implement a schedule of fees.

The Committee of the Whole agenda includes an item to direct Boonstra to discuss with JBR Development its responsibilities to solve water issues on its Sixth Avenue condo development. The Committee of the Whole agenda also includes a request for approval and support of the council to plan a special city festival Oct. 27.

The Fulton City Council is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The Committee of the Whole meeting will take place after the regular council meeting.
