CLINTON — A Clinton man is charged with felony robbery in connection with an incident Tuesday night at Shell Express Lane.
Joseph R. Little, 38, of Clinton, is charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, according to a Clinton Police Department media release.
The release states that at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, Clinton police officers responded to Shell Express Lane, 500 N. Second St., to a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Witnesses at the scene stated a male entered the convenience store, picked up a couple items and approached the check-out counter. The male walked behind the counter, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The male exited the convenience store after receiving an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot, heading north on North Second Street. Officers were able to locate Little at a nearby residence.
