Clinton street projects will affect commutes

CLINTON — Road projects will affect traffic in Clinton beginning next week.

Due to work on the North Third Street road project, the southbound lane of the 2400 block of North Third Street will be closed Tuesday, July 17. This lane closure is for one day only.

The detour will be 25th Avenue North to Cleveland Street, then Main Avenue to North Third Street.

The northbound lane of North Third Street will remain open.

Also, the 2700 block of Pershing Boulevard will be closed Monday and Tuesday. The intersections of 27th Avenue North at Pershing Boulevard and 28th Avenue North at Pershing Boulevard will remain open.

Due to work on the North Third Street road project, asphalting will take place Wednesday through July 27. All intersections, from Main Avenue to 37th Avenue North, will be closed. Only local traffic will be allowed.

During this time, no on-street parking on North Third Street will be allowed. Any cars parked on North Third Street will be towed.
