CLINTON — The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center is “shamrocking” into the week with St. Paddy activities.
WOW Wednesday pops into view with a 3D rainbow craft. Funtime Friday takes the stage with Irish Dancing with Miss Angela. Sunday’s with Miss Jean is this week as well. Every one of these activities on each day is a free enrichment program with regular museum admission or membership. Save the date for the approaching Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser that will be Sunday, March 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday, March 7, from 2 p.m. to close is WOW Wednesday, sponsored by US Bank. This weekly program includes chess, juggling and logic puzzles with Miss Jean, where all ages and abilities are welcome. Also, get colorful at the Discovery Center with a 3D rainbow craft. WOW Wednesday is geared for school-aged kids and their families. Families are invited to drop in and enjoy the activities, and no pre-registration required.
Friday, March 9, at 10 a.m., is Funtime Friday, sponsored by Clinton Kiwanis Club. Get up and dance with Miss Angela and her Dance 4 Joy dancers as she teaches you about Irish dances, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. You’ll be kickin’ and clickin’ the day away. As always, a snack is included. This favorite program is designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups, although all age children are welcome.
Sundays with Miss Jean, every second Sunday of the month, is this week. Join her for juggling, chess, and logic puzzles. This is a great way to spend Sunday afternoon as a family. All ages and abilities are welcome to try their hand at these activities.
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 18 will be the 30th annual Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser served at the Discovery Center. Mark your calendars for this egg-cellent breakfast opportunity. Celebrity chefs will be serving made-to-order omelets, served with a side of sausage, pancakes, and baked goods. Drinks include juice, milk, and coffee. Advance tickets are available now at the Discovery Center and the Clinton National Bank. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and teens, $9 at the door; $5 for children 4 to 12, and free for children 3 and younger.
Regular admission to the Discovery Center is $4 per person ages 2 to 64, $3 per person ages 65 and older, free for children one and younger, and free for members of the children’s museum. Hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays 12:30 to 5 p.m.
