The city of Clinton is hosting a public information meeting regarding the proposed sidewalk and trail improvements involved as part of the Lyons Multiple Use Recreational Trail Project.
The public is invited to attend this meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. April 5 at Clinton City Hall.
The project will extend from the Discovery Trail at 30th Avenue North to Eagle Heights Elementary School. The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents of the project and answer any questions related to its construction.
For the most part the project will only involved modification of existing sidewalks at intersections with the street and alley. Where sidewalk currently exists along the described locations, no new trial will be constructed. Two new sections of 10-foot wide concrete trail will be constructed as part of the project. One location where new trail will be constructed is along the north side ot 30th Avenue North, from Garfield Street t4o the Discovery Trail. The other location is from North Fourth Street to North Ninth Street, along the north side of 29th Ave nu North and ectending over the creek into Lundquist Subdivision. The meeting will be an informal open discussion, question and answer session. Information that will be available at the meeting will include project plans. City engineering staff and representatives from McClure Engineering will be on hand to answer any questions related to this construction project.
