Tamra Binder is the new Market President at U.S. Bank in Clinton. Find out more about her in this week’s edition of Meet Your Neighbor.
How long have you worked at U.S. Bank?
I’ve been with U.S. Bank for 15 years. It’s been a great career. I started out as a credit analyst and moved up. ... I was a commercial lender and market president and team lead for the commercial banking side.
How has it been working as the market president?
I’ve only been doing this for 60 days so over time I do something new. I have that learning curve. It’s going well, I’m excited, it’s fun. I have a great team and everybody is ambitious and energetic and here to help clients.
Are you from Clinton?
My husband and I have been here 15 years. He works for ADM. I would say Clinton is home now. I was a military brat so this is the longest I’ve lived anywhere. I love it here.
What is your favorite thing about Clinton?
It’s the people’s dedication to the community. I’m really amazed at how many people actually step up and volunteer to make the community a better place.
What are you currently reading?
My all-time favorite book is a book called “Risk” by David Scott. He talks about just taking risks in life and doing the things you want to do. I don’t think I would have had the courage to accept a position like this. I’m currently reading “Making the Moment Meaningful” by Dana LaMon.
