CLINTON —  Clinton County and city of Clinton officials extend gratitude to area citizens for their assistance with storm-related damage in the aftermath of Thursday’s tornado and related weather event in Clinton County.

Clinton County Sheriff Rick Lincoln, Clinton Fire Chief Mike Brown, Clinton Police Capt. Bill Greenwalt and Emergency Management Coordinator Chance Kness want to thank Clinton residents for lending a hand with cleanup of downed trees and debris. They expressed collective pride in Clinton residents.

Alliant Energy representative Threasa Johnson reminds residents to avoid downed power lines when providing help with tree debris. Clinton Mayor Mark Vulich echoed thanks for citizen involvement with storm damage cleanup. Vulich said to contact Public Works at 242-0261 if there are damaged or misplaced traffic signs.

City residents can place tree limbs, from this storm damage, at their curbs. Over the next several days, Clinton Public Works staff will retrieve tree branches placed curbside.
