CLINTON — The Clinton County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on a regional housing board.
The county needs to appoint two county residents to the Eastern Iowa Regional Housing Authority Board. The individuals need to be interested in housing, but do not have rental properties that are enrolled in an EIRHA program. The volunteers need to be available to meet up to six times a year. The meetings are conducted in Dubuque.
Anyone interested in serving on the board is asked to contact the Clinton County Supervisors at 244-0575.
The goal of the EIRHA is to provide decent, safe and affordable housing for eligible households; to provide opportunities and promote self-sufficiency; to create economic independence; and to provide home ownership opportunities for Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing Program participants.
EIRHA serves the counties of Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones and Scott. However, it does not include the cities of Clinton, Camanche, Davenport or Dubuque.
