CLINTON — YWCA Aquatics is offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Certification class scheduled for July 31 to Aug. 4.

The class will meet at the Camanche High School Pool, 1400 Ninth St., Camanche, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The class fee is $150 for YWCA members and $175 for community members. Participants who successfully complete the class and certification process and who are hired by the YWCA will have their class fee waived in exchange for a one-year commitment to serve as a YWCA lifeguard.

YWCA Clinton is in need of lifeguards this fall at both their downtown and Camanche High School pools. Information on class prerequisites can be found on the YWCA website at ywcaclinton.org, keyword “lifeguard.”
