MORRISON, Ill. — Morrison Community Hospital will be hosting a meet and greet for Dr. Thane Cody and staff.

Cody is an ear, nose and throat specialist with experience that includes a residency at Mayo Clinic, Roch-ester, Minn., and a fellowship at Univers-ity of Iowa in hematology/oncology head and neck cancer.

“MCH is excited to offer this opportunity to members of the community and surrounding areas. Judging by the large number of patients that Dr. Cody has seen in just a few months, there is definitely a huge need for these services in Whiteside County. So, we know people are anxious to learn more about Dr. Cody and the services he is offering at MCH,” said Chad Haskell, director of communications and fund development.

In addition, Steve Paulsen, director of ambulance services, will be demonstrating the new AutoPulse, which is a cardiac life-saving device. It is an automated, portable device with an easy-to-use, load-distributing LifeBand that squeezes the entire chest in a consistent, uninterrupted hands-free manner, improving blood flow to the heart and brain during cardiac arrest.

The meet and greet and demonstration will be March 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Odell Public Library Community Center. The setting will be informal so individuals can ask questions and enjoy refreshments. The Odell Public Library is located at 307 S. Madison St., Morrison.
