NEW LONDON (AP) — A New London man has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after police located three meth labs in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Michael Carpenter was pulled over on Highway 34 Monday when police made the discovery. Carpenter was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine five grams or more, and he was ticketed for driving under suspension, obstructed vision and having no insurance.

Police say Carpenter was also arrested on an outstanding charge of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

It was not immediately clear if Carpenter has an attorney.
