CLINTON -- According to a press release, there is a major phone service interruption affecting Clinton County at this time. As a result, land-line phones (including wired phones from homes and businesses) are not able to contact 9-1-1.
Some of the non-emergency numbers for our local agencies may also be affected by this outage.
Century Link is aware of the problem and is working to get it fixed. As of right now 9-1-1 calls from cellular phones are still getting through.
Residents are encouraged to use a cell phone to reach 9-1-1 until this issue is resolved.
A follow up press release will be issued when service is restored.
