CLINTON — A new mobile device app launched this week to assist Clinton County voters in knowing where and when they can vote for upcoming elections.

“WhereUVote IA - Clinton County” was developed by Evil Twin Software. Voters can enter their address into the app and it will tell the voters where to vote on Election Day. The app also will inform voters where they can vote absentee before Election Day.

“My office staff and I have recognized a growing number of calls from voters during the last couple of years asking where they vote,” Clinton County Auditor Eric Van Lancker said. “We’ve been trying to come up with a solution to reach today’s voters and this opportunity from Evil Twin Software recently presented itself.”

Earlier this year, Van Lancker and the Clinton County IT staff worked together to create a page on the Clinton County website for voters to enter their address to find their voting location.

“The WhereUVote Clinton County app is a great compliment to the voter outreach we started on the county web page,” Van Lancker said. “This app will open a navigation app on the user’s device that will display the name of the polling location and where it is located on the map.”

The app is available for Apple and Android mobile devices. The app is found in applicable app stores.
