CLINTON — This week is registration week at the YWCA for the upcoming session of swimming lessons, fitness classes and the new reader’s theater youth class.
Registration for the next session runs through April 11. The new session for these offerings begins Monday.
The YWCA offers a variety of swimming lessons for various ages and skill levels including preschool and youth lessons, as well as the YWCA’s parent-child classes. Lesson times and dates are listed on Youth Aquatics page of the YWCA website at ywcaclinton.org or in the YWCA’s spring brochure which may be picked up at their front desk.
The YWCA is adding a new fitness class, Full Body Blast, to its line-up. The class will meet at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday and Thursdays beginning Tuesday. Full Body Blast will use a combination of cardio and weights to give participants a complete body workout.
All of the YWCA’s fitness classes are free with membership and include a variety of classes.
Another new offering this upcoming session is the YWCA reader’s theater youth class. This is open to children in second through fifth grade and will focus on developing reading competency and fluency while performing children’s theater scripts. Reader’s theater will meet weekly from 6:15 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the YWCA beginning April 15 and running through May 27. YWCA youth classes cost $30 for YWCA members and $40 for community members.
