MORRISON, Ill. — A Rock Island County judge has allowed a video to be shown at the next trial of accused spree killer and convicted murderer Nicholas Sheley.
The Daily Gazette in Sterling reports that Rock Island County Judge Jeffrey O’Connor admitted the video into evidence Thursday. The video shows an apartment where Sheley is accused of killing four people in 2008 in Rock Falls.
Sheley’s defense attorney Jeremy Karlin objected to showing the video and asked the judge to reserve judgment until he saw all evidence prosecutors planned to show jurors. The judge stood by his ruling.
