Helen D. Cronk October 9, 1933 - December 27, 2013

CAMANCHE — Helen D. Cronk, 80, of Camanche, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, Illinois.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Gilbert, Dan Fisher, Chuck Gilbert, John Sander, David Carber, and Levi Carber. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her brothers and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at

Helen Delores Fisher was born on October 9, 1933 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Katherine (Rayburn) Fisher. She was a 1952 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Harold Cronk on December 31, 1979 in Morrison, Illinois; he died July 19, 1996.

Helen was employed with PFC in Camanche from 1980 until 1995. She also formerly owned and operated Hides Inn in Caman-che.

Helen was a former member of the Women of the Moose. She was an avid Chicago Bear and Chicago Cub fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen is survived by a daughter: Cindy (Daniel) Weber of Folletts, Iowa; two grandchildren: Kathy (Jay) Wilke of DeWitt, Debbie (Kris) Dorsey of Clinton; seven great-grandchildren: Christopher, Hannah, Cameron, Grace, Adam, Audrey, and Jacqueline; three brothers: Ronald (Marlyss) Fisher of Clinton, Robert William Sumpter of California, and James Fisher of Camanche; one sister: Marilyn Stidham of Rock Island, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one son, two brothers, and a sister.
