CLINTON — Jackie Lee Burmester, 49, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center North Campus surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Erik Dannatt, Josh Bolton, Ryan Bolton, Norman Bolton, Jr., Jason Bolton, and James Blakley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chisum Bolton, Brett Bolton, Johnny Heath, Jr., and Jennifer Heath. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the burial on Monday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club.
Jackie Lee Burmester was born on January 27, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Norma (Foley) Burmester.
Jackie was a nurse’s aide for several years.
Jackie enjoyed fishing, camping, scrapbooking, playing bingo and visiting the casino. She collected porcelain dolls and angels. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by her daughter: Alicia (John) Greene of Clinton; a son: Devin Geary of Clinton; two grandchildren: Sebastain and Kaylee Greene; adopted daughters: Teresa Coon and Brandi Huber of Clinton; adopted grandchildren: Amaya, Seth, Austin, and Christian; her mother: Norma (Foley) Shadle of Clinton; three sisters: Leafia (Walter) Revels of Clinton, Jolene (Herman) Petty of Statesboro, Georgia, and Donna (Eddie) Blakley of Clinton; four brothers: Norman (Judy) Bolton of Clinton, Delmar (Sue) Bolton of Clinton, Jon Bolton of Clinton, and Rex (Joan) Bolton of Mesa, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, step-father, and grandparents.
