FULTON, Ill. — Milford “Johnny” Raab, 77, of Fulton, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home.
There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have beed accorded.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Fulton Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Jensen, Associate Pastor: Gateway Faith Fellowship, Fulton, officiating.
Memorials can be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born September 14, 1936 in Freeport, Ill., to William and Marjorie (Eaton) Raab.
Johnny was engaged in farming in rural Mount Carroll, Ill., area and also was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a welder. Later he worked as a self-employed handyman.
Johnny enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, building picnic tables and spending time with friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Penny Dash of Clinton; six sons, Russell (Gayle) Raab, of Kingston, Ga., Scott (Kathy) Raab of Clinton, Todd Raab of Clinton, Jeff (Danaca) Raab of Fulton, Ill., Terry Raab of Clinton and Tom Raab of Clinton; 20 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two step greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mona (Chuck) Balles of Freeport and Mary Lou Bower of Lena, Ill.; two brothers, Marshall (Helen) Raab of Freeport, and Millard (Linda) Raab of Houghton, LA; and a special friend, Darlene Weltzin of Morrison, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; six sisters, Marion, Mae, Mildred, Marjorie, Marie and Maxine; and four brothers, Morrell, Myrnice, Maynard, Miles
