FULTON, Ill. — Jeane A. Housenga, 77, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, died Saturday, Nov. 23, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce McNeely – Chaplain: Genesis Hospice officiating. A private interment of cremated remains will take place at Fulton Township Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Clinton Victory Center in Clinton.
Jeane was born December 20, 1935 in Fulton to Bernard and Mae A. (Pannell) Baker.
Jeane was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was 1953 graduate of Fulton High School.
Jeane married Everett H. “Duder” Housenga on October 2, 1964 in Fulton. Everett died November 21, 1986.
Jeane was employed by the former Montgomery Wards Department Store in Clinton, Iowa. She also served as the Fulton Township Clerk.
Jeane was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church in Fulton. She enjoyed flower gardening and baking.
She is survived by three sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Holt – Moline, IL, Noreen Howard – Albany, IL and Sheila (Donald) Franzen – Fulton, IL; two brothers Harlan (Lorraine) Baker – Clinton, IA and Ronald (Bonnie Hansen) Baker – Naperville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett, one daughter, Sherri Lack and two brothers, Lauren “Larry” Baker and Kevin Baker.
