CLINTON — Geraldine “Gerry” M. Voss, 75, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.

A Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Voss, Jared Voss, Nolan Voss, Evan Voss, Michael Voss, Ryan Voss, Brandon Voss, and Spencer Voss. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Geraldine Marie Koch was born on April 22, 1938 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Banowetz) Koch. She was a1956 graduate of Our Lady of Angels. She married John “Jack” Voss on November 17, 1956 at St. Boniface Catholic Church – Clinton.

Gerry assisted her husband for over 35 years at Voss Brothers Plumbing.

Gerry was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed card club, lunch club, and euchre club. Known by many as a very generous and caring person, she was an avid Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan, and especially enjoyed attending Cubs Spring Training in Arizona. She enjoyed have the family together on Sundays for dinner and always loved the annual family trip to the Wisconsin Dells. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren participate in school activities, attending hundreds of sporting events, plays and dance recitals. Gerry enjoyed attending shows on the Clinton Showboat and at Timberlake Playhouse with family and friends. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she enjoyed sharing the Wright family Christmas with her loved ones.

Gerry is survived by her husband: Jack of Clinton; her children: Debra (Perry Sullens) Weed of Clinton, Jeffrey (Laurie) Voss of Clinton, James (Christine) Voss of Clinton, Daniel (Sharon) Voss of Clinton, Dennis (Marcia) Voss of Eldridge, Iowa, and Jason Voss of Chicago, Illinois; 15 grandchildren: Jenny (Nate) Burkert, Katie (Troy) Harris, Tyler Voss, Jared Voss, Jordan Voss, Melissa (Nolan) Determan, Nolan Voss, Evan Voss, Marlaina Voss, Michael (Alli) Voss, Mallory Voss, Ryan Voss, Brandon Voss, Brianna Voss, and Spencer Voss; 4 great-grandchildren: Jackson & Grahm Burkert, and Brynn and Bryce Determan; two sisters: Patricia Kahler of Euless, Texas, and Joan (Jack) Nelson of Clinton; two brothers: William Koch of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Francis (Anna) Koch, Jr. of Highland, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Glen and Richard.

Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
