John A. Wright Jr.

CHARLOTTE —  John A. “Johnny” Wright, Jr., age 47, a believer in Christ, passed away Monday Dec. 3, 2012 in Charlotte, IA.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, Dec. 8th at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton.  Visitation will be held Friday  4-7 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton.  Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Johnny was born on Dec. 13, 1964 in Stockton, CA, the son of John and Dolores (Bradshaw) Wright, Sr.  He worked with real estate in California for many years before moving to Iowa and was a realtor with Mel Foster.

He married Joleen Tietjens on Oct. 9, 2005 in Moline, IL.  He was a member of the Andover Lions Club.  He was co-founder of the Independent Crew Motorcycle Club in Lodi, CA.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and motorcycles with his son, riding his Harley Davidson, wood working, drag racing and spending time with his friends, family and pets. He was also an avid Oakland Raiders fan.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Joleen of Charlotte; four children, Leah Wright of DeWitt, Sara Wright, Rosie Marsh, and John W.W. Wright all of Charlotte; his grandmother, Zelma Bradshaw of Charlotte; a brother, Mark (Tina) Wright of Stockton, CA; a sister, Connie (Donald) Lewis of Baxter Springs, KS; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; his father and mother-in-law, Ben (Jack) and Barbara Tietjens of Clinton; his sister-in-laws, Ann Tietjens, Juanita Juarez, Julie (Tim) Larsen, and Ronna (Aaron) Braaten; and a special aunt, Janet Peters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandfather, and paternal grandparents.
