---- — ALBANY, Ill. — Thomas J. “Sonny” Cullinan Sr., 90, of Albany, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany.

Memorials may be made to the Albany Lions Club and Albany Indian Mounds.

He was born December 12, 1922, in Dillon Township, Ill., to Lawrence Cullinan and Margaret Thaller (maiden name).

Tom was educated in the Delavan Grade Schools and was a graduate of Delavan High School, Delavan, Ill.

He married Doris J. McGoy on June 8, 1946, in Louisville, KY; she died December 18, 1991.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

Tom was employed as a truck driver with FS in Cordova, Ill., for 36 years. Following retirement he worked as a truck driver with Al’s Ag Service in Garden Plain, Ill.

Tom was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of Albany American Legion Hanson/Kennedy Post #1079, Albany Lions Club, Albany Indian Mounds, Double II Antique Auto Club and the Teamsters Union. “Sonny’s” quick wit and wry sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been on the receiving end.

Tom enjoyed attending antique car shows, tractor pulls, farm shows and was a NASCAR, Cubs and Bears fan. Tom was still an active bowler at age 89.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Cullinan of Frisco, CO, Joe (Roseanna Trevino) Cullinan of Morrison, Ill., and Shawn (Jackie) Cullinan of Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Cayce (Caryn) Cullinan, Molly (Ron) Bureta; Carrie (Troy) Robertson; Layne Enlow, Jason (Karlee) Enlow; Joshua (Stacia) Cullinan; Jessica (Randy) Collender; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Doris Garman of Pekin, Ill., Pat Smith of Pekin, Ill., Kathleen (Walt) Iber of Metropolis, Ill., and Mary Lou (Gerald) Bozart of Watkinsville, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; one son, Tony Cullinan; and two brothers, Daniel Cullinan and Robert Cullinan
