MORRISON, Ill. — Walfred E. “Wally” Berg, 77, of Clinton and formerly of Morrison, Ill., died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton, IA.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Morrison Chapel–Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks, Pastor: Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of funeral Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Morrison Chapel–Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Clinton, IA.

Memorials will be at Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, IL.

Wally was born March 5, 1936 in Oak Park, IL to Ernest W. and Mildred F.(Wittrock) Berg.

Wally was educated in the Maywood Grade School and was a graduate of Proviso High School, Maywood, IL.

Wally married Jean Gilman on November 23, 1958 in Rockford, IL; she survives.

Wally was employed by the former Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a locomotive engineer for 31 years; retiring after 34 years of employment

Wally was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers – Local #404. He enjoyed model railroading.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Berg; two sons, Douglas Berg, Weatherford, TX, and Kenneth Berg, Clinton, IA; one granddaughter, Katelyn Renae Berg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
