CLINTON — Anna M. Richards, 85, of Clinton, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Vegter, David Vegter, Todd Carpenter, Billy Holton, Christopher Richards, Paul Housenga, Andrew Richards, and Evan McCallister. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bob Onderbeck and Eldo Krebs. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory, Clinton, Iowa. Anna Marie Young was born on February 20, 1928, in Lockridge, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Edith (McWilliams) Young. She married Wayne Gordon Richards on Octboer 27, 1944, in Kahoka, Missouri; he died April 28, 2001.

Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ and the Red Hat Club. She was involved in missions, Women’s Bible Study, Women’s Fellowship and watched her great-granddaughter and her dog, Honey. She traveled the world and had a great life with good friends.

Anna is survived by four daughters: Connie Vegter of Morrison, Christine Richards of Fulton, Loetta (Bill) Holton of Fulton and Janise Richards of Decatur, Georgia; one son, Curt (Nancy) Richards of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and special friends, Bob and Lois Onderbek of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Carolyn and Coleen; one brother, Rex; two sisters, Imogene and Etta May; and one grandson, Robert (Bobby) Sheeley.
