FULTON, Ill. — Raymond J. Fredericksen, age 84, of Fulton, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Alverno health care facility. In following Raymond’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Pape Funeral Home. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Machen officiating. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery.
Raymond was born in Clinton on April 17, 1928, the son of Raymond H. and Myrtle M. (Stringham) Fredericksen. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1945. He lived in California for many years before returning to the Clinton area. Raymond was millwright with Local #2158, Bettendorf. He had worked as a construction site superintendent in many different locations, including Africa. He attended the Church of the Open Door and was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and going out to eat, and spending time with his nephew, Larry.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Michelle; his son, Randall; his sister-in-law, Juanita Fredericksen of Fulton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth; and two sisters, Pauline Dithmart and Joan Hackett. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
