FULTON, Ill. — Warren Dale Beukema, 78, of Fulton, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton. The Rev. Dr. James A. Camp, interim pastor at Fulton Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Fulton Presbyterian Church and Harbor Crest Nursing Home.
He was born December 30, 1934, in Morrison, Ill., to John and Dora (Bos) Beukema.
Warren was educated in the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School.
He married Wilma J. Peska on August 14, 1953, in Fulton.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Warren was employed at Herman-Nelson in Morrison; Fulton Public Works in Fulton; and Clinton Corn in Clinton.
Warren was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church. He was on the board at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton. Warren was a member of the Lions Club in Fulton. He was very active in the Fulton community, volunteering for many different organizations. Warren enjoyed playing golf and walking his dog “Jake,” his best friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma; three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
