CLINTON — Dorothy E. Latimer, 94, of Clinton, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Mercy Living Center South.
There will be no services or visitation; the body has been cremated. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy Emily Latimer was born on September 27, 1918, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Edna (Ockenfels) Dowty. She was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School and also attended Brown’s Business College.
She was a license supervisor for Kemper Insurance in Long Grove, Illinois, for many years.
She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeWitt. She enjoyed painting, her flower garden and music.
She is survived by a great-niece, Vicki Lang of Clinton; cousin, Phyllis Kraciun of Camanche; and special friends: Steve and Phyllis Hentze and family; Paul Kibler of Camanche; and Lil Leeb of Spring Grove, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her half sister, Dorothy Chiapetta; and niece, Donna Flynn.
