CLINTON — Jean L. Rursch, 50, of Clinton passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Franzen, Garrett Nimmick, Rich Matzen, Shawn Winoski, Duncan Winoski, and Scott Manon.
Jean was born March 28, 1963 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Jacqueline (Anderson) Winoski. She was a 1981 Mater Dei High School graduate and she attended Clinton Community College.
She married Boyd Rursch on December 12, 1987 in Clinton, Iowa. She was employed as an administrative assistant with the Clinton Community School District from 1986-2013. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. Her family and her cat, Tibby were her greatest joys in life.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd Rursch of Clinton; her daughter, Kelsey Rursch of Clinton; her son, Ryan Rursch of Clinton; her siblings, Jane Asmus of Clinton, Frank (Carla) Winoski of Clinton, and Toni Smith of Katy, Texas; her father, Frank “Tony” Winoski of Clinton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline and her grandparents, Sarah and Frank Winoski and Carl and Winifred Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Genesis Hospice.
